The rule at school is no gum. When you chew gum at school they give you demerits and you get punished. Teachers are constantly asking “Are you chewing gum?”  In my opinion gum is not a bad thing. When I am chewing gum I am less jittery. Being less jittery helps me and my classmates learn more because when I am constantly shaking my leg I usually end up shaking my classmates desk. Another thing about chewing gum is that it sends more oxygen to your brain. When your brain has more oxygen you will do better on your assignments. Another thing about gum is that it helps people focus. When I am chewing gum it tends to keep me on task. Not only does the gum keep me on task, but it also helps me work harder on my assignments. Chewing gum would most likely lead to less disruptive classroom, that work hard, get better grades, and get there work done in a timely manner. I think gum is so wonderful that we should have gum machines. Wouldn’t it be great to have a vending machine with every type of gum imaginable? From cherry to bubble mint, gum will help improve schools.
